The river usually carries water when it rings for Motorola and this time the official presentation of the Motorola One Action has confirmed some of the rumors we saw on the mobile. A smartphone that integrates between its three rear cameras an ultra-wide-angle action of 117 degrees.
The new terminal is very reminiscent of the Motorola One Vision, in fact, the design has been maintained in almost all aspects and the configuration is traced. But this second mobile, in turn, recovers the witness of the mobile phones of the house more oriented to users who want to go further with the cameras of his team betting on the ultra-wide-angle in a new format.
Screen hole and inherited aesthetic
Motorola is part of the (no longer so) few manufacturers that have joined the fashion of the perforated screen as a solution so that the front camera does not subtract too much surface to the panel, leaving behind the notch we saw in the original One or in the Motorola One Power. In this way, the Motorola One Action keeps the hole for the front camera of 18 megapixels on the left, it will be necessary to see how they have adapted the interface by precedents such as the Honor View20 or the Samsung Galaxy S10.
At the rear, the three cameras are located in a slightly protruding module on the left. We also see the fingerprint reader in the center with the company logo and below the indication that it is a mobile with Android One, arriving with Android 9 Pie but compatible with at least two more versions of the system.
Thus, the mobile could have a percentage of use of the front by the screen similar to One Vision. As in that case, it is also a Full HD + screen (2,520 x 1,080 pixels) of 6.3 inches and an aspect ratio of 21: 9.
Triple camera and ultra-wide angle for the restless
One of the main attractions of the terminal is the photographic scheme of its back, adding one more lens to the double camera we saw in the One Vision. Thus, honoring his last name, the One Action integrates an ultra-wide-angle Full HD action camera with a 117-degree field of view, promising frames up to four times larger than with a standard 78-degree lens.
It also promises to have a simple and practical recording, being able to hold the phone vertically while the wide-angle videos are recorded and thus be able to reproduce what is recorded vertically horizontally. It is designed to give more options than standard cameras, especially those who make videos of action sports or outdoor landscapes.
It is a 16-megapixel sensor with a lens with f / 2.2 aperture and electronic stabilization, with Quad Pixel technology for both photography and video. This allows according to the manufacturer that light sensitivity is achieved four times higher so that good videos can be achieved regardless of lighting conditions.
For its part, the main camera has a 12-megapixel sensor and a lens with f / 1.8 aperture, being able to record up to 4K and pulling ** electronic stabilization **. The third one that completes the equipment is a camera for depth analysis, consisting of a 5-megapixel sensor and an f / 2.0 luminosity lens.
The front camera is fixed but it looks out of the screen thanks to a perforation. What we see is an optical system composed of a 12-megapixel sensor and f / 1.8 aperture, so it is somewhat different from that of the One Vision on paper.
In addition to all this, there are the options that are added with the software such as portrait mode. Nor do they neglect artificial intelligence, which is involved in the creation of photos and videos, also integrating Google Lens.
4 GB of RAM and eight cores
Technical tie in relation to the brain of One Action with its predecessor. Like the Vision, the One Action houses the Exynos 9609 processor, a chipset with 10-nanometer lithography, neural processing, and eight cores (two clusters of four cores each) Cortex A73 and A53 (at 2.2 GHz and 1.6 GHz respectively).
It also maintains the 4 GB of RAM, accompanying the 128 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. To power all this there is a battery of 3,500 milliamps/hour with fast charging of up to 15 watts, being able to give 5 hours of autonomy in 15 minutes of charging according to the manufacturer.
Motorola One Action availability
The manufacturer will sell its terminal online the same day of its presentation, postponing the commercialization in stores until the end of August.
